The College of Computer Studies(CCS) adheres to the philosophy of producing skilled and competent IT professionals with leadership and commitment to the global IT community and to the society. Being in service for years, the college still pursues its aspirations of reaching out to its learners by providing them with a better quality of IT Education with its globally competitive curriculum.

The College of Computer Studies was born in 1994. At first, the College offered only two year-courses namely: Associate in Computer Science (ACS) and Computer Secretarial (ComSec). After sometime, the Associate in Computer Science was made ladderized leading to a four-year course, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS). Additional two-year courses such as Associate in Computer Technology (ACT) and Certificate in Computer Technician (CCT) were also carried out. Every year the department continuously grows and expands, not only in volume but also in intellect.

Acquainted with the dynamic changes in the IT community, the department undertakes a series of improvements to realize its mission of delivering quality education to the students. The College of Computer Studies received its Level 1 Accreditation from the PACUCOA in 2005 proving its undying devotion to make students adaptable to the ever – changing advancements in the technological world. The college is also the first ICT testing venue in Lipa accredited by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA) with competent and efficient assessors. Moreso, it focuses in stimulating students’ social responsibility by engaging them in community extension programs which provide ICT education to out-of-school youths.

The LCC-CCS is a member of the Philippine Computer Society(PCS) while its teachers and students are active members of Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) and Junior Philippine Computer Society(JPCS), respectively. The college fosters a better perspective of the vital role of IT to business, political community and society. With its dedication, commitment and professional growth, the College of Computer Studies is the institution where IT education is at its best.


It offers Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Associate in Computer Technology, Associate in Computer Secretarial, Certificate in Computer & Networking Technology, Computer Hardware Servicing NC II, PC Operations NC II and Finishing Course for Call Center Agents to answer the needs of the ever-changing advancement of our technological world. It aims to:

  • produce skilled and competent IT professionals;
  • provide students with basic analytical techniques for solving complex problems and decision-making;
  • foster a better perspective of the vital role of IT to business, government and society; and
  • create student's sense of social responsibility.


BS Computer Science (Four-Year Course)

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) is a degree-completion program intended for students who have a significant interest in the theory of computation and the development of computer systems at the deepest level. The CS program’s goal summons for an education centering on the fundamental principles of Computer Science, relating with the outside world, and learning through hands-on experiences.

The Computer Science curriculum provides students with a foundation in programming, theoretical, algorithmic foundations, implementation and application of information and computing solutions. Courses ranging from introductory programming courses to courses in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Web Programming and Data Communications are available.

Associate in Computer Technology (Two-Year Course)

Associate in Computer Technology is a two-year non-degree program which is intended for students who have profundity interest in understanding the theories and concepts of computer systems such as foundation in algorithm, computer programming, systems analysis and design.

Students majoring in Computer Technology will be prepared for a career in Information Technology. The course study includes computer maintenance as well as popular programming languages. The Associate in Computer Technology course work includes elective courses in Visual Basic, C++, and database platforms. Students will also gain knowledge in the use of computer operating systems, applications, computer graphics, web site design and LAN connection.

Certificate in Computer & Network Technology (Two-Year Course)

This program is a two-year vocational course which provides focused education in the practice and theory of computers and computer data networks. This program prepares student for rewarding careers in the dynamic fields of computer and networking. A variety of materials includes basic electronics, advanced computer troubleshooting, internet issues and network security.

Associate in Computer Secretarial (Two-Year Course)

This two-year course program is suitable for students who want to acquire skills for the modern set-up of office environment. It is a course that gives the student strong foundation in word processing, spreadsheet applications, modern office equipment procedures, keyboarding, records management and communication skills. Completion of this course trains the student to specialize in legal, medical or business career options. The career outlook for students with these specialized skills is outstanding.

The Business Career Option prepares the students work as world -class secretaries for commercial and business establishment, marketing/sales and service-oriented firms, government and non-government organizations. Specialized subjects cover Business Math, Principles of Marketing and Business, Governmental and nonprofit organizations.
