It offers Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management major in Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Management and Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Given the importance of tourism as a means to achieve national goals and aspirations and its role in the world economy, tourism education, including hotel and restaurant management, seeks to provide the preparations needed by an individual to be a responsible member of the society and a productive and effective participant in tourism industry within the social framework of the country and the international community of nations. It aims to:

  • develop students to be an effective promoter of the country’s natural and cultural attractions to domestic and international travelers;
  • provide the means for them to be competent planners of tourism development who can evaluate and identify tourism opportunities at the same time preserve the cultural heritage and environment of the country;
  • enable them to be effective managers of tourism resources including establishments such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel agencies and land-air-water transport systems; and
  • inspire the students to be responsible citizens.
Message from the Dean

The College of Hospitality Management is one of the flagship courses and one of the fastest growing departments in Lipa City Colleges. It offers three programs: 1.) Bachelor of Science Major in Hotel and Restaurant Management; 2.) Bachelor of Science Major in Tourism Management; and 3.) Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Over the last 12 years, CHM has always been committed in providing quality and standard education to our learners with its competency-based courses and PACUCOA Accredited Level 1 programs and course offerings. In fact, hands-on, minds-on learning is the primary focused of the department to develop the skills of the students. The department has well trained and qualified faculty and staffs who facilitate learners in the educative process. It prioritizes the advancement of its faculty members through trainings, seminars and upliftment of education.

CHM was established in 2001 as a catalyst of transforming individuals to be competent, committed and leaders of the society. It also molds folks to become effective participants in tourism and hospitality industries. For instance, the college provides intensive academic preparations in every program. It has established strong linkages with industries, hotels and restaurants for the On-the-Job Training of the students. The college is a member of several professional organizations for better foundation of its growth and expansion. Also, well-planned and interesting educational tours are prepared for experiential learning. College of Hospitality Management gives our students the BEST and makes them on TOP.
