Message from the Dean

At the College of Liberal Arts, our perspective on education is based on understanding, modeling, maintaining, transforming and recreating the world around us. With this in mind, all that is expected of you is to be a committed learner, desirous of being transformed by the end of your stay with us. We constantly challenge our students to perceive patterns in complexity, render reasoned judgments, make wise choices under conditions of uncertainty, and join others in the pursuit of common endeavors.

Central to our educational philosophy is the empowerment of students to excel in their chosen careers and become professionals ready to compete in the global market. A liberal arts education develops essential professional skills including effective written and oral communication, creative problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership.

In behalf of the faculty and administration, I want to assure you that while you focus your attention in your academic pursuit, we also want you to be a well-balanced individual with a healthy perspective on life and with excellent interpersonal skills. In this regard, please ensure that you take an active part in student life at the College and make your experience at the College of Liberal Arts one that you will always cherish.
