Computerized Polygraph Machine boosts Criminology

To keep pace with the fast-changing trend in Criminology education in the Philippines, Lipa City Colleges provided the College of Criminology a distinctive edge above other top criminology schools in the region and in the country by procuring the state-of-the-art computerized polygraph machine which aims at equipping the Criminology students with necessary knowledge and skills they should have before being deployed in the workplace.
This computerized polygraph machine which even the Camp Crame doesn't have at present, and is used by only three criminology schools in Region IV-A CALABARZON features LX4000 Hardware Innovations System that can record, store, and analyze physiological changes during a polygraph examination. One of its distinctive feature is its ability to accumulate seven channels recorded at one time. Its Windows Integrated Software makes the computerized system intuitive and relatively easy to utilize. The redesigned EDA Circuit has a greater operating range, increased sensitivity and subject isolation. Its design of USB interface enables the LX4000 to commmunicate virtually with any Windows- based computer without requiring batteries or external power.
The LX4000 hardware only measures 10.25''W x 3.25''D x 1.25''H ( 26.04 cm x 8. 26 cm x 3. 18 cm) weighing only 1 pound ( 454 g ). Its sensor inputs features 2 pneumograph chest assembly, +/- 80 mmHG; 1 Cardio Arm Cuff, 0 to 110 mmHG; 1 EDA current applied to skin 10 uA, 0 to 4 VDC with a range of 10 Kohms to 2.0 Mohms; and 3 Auxiliary Input 0 to 4 V analog input.
The acquisition of these materials proves that the institution is serious at maintaining its reputation as one of the top performing criminology schools in the Philippines recognized for its consistent high board examination results.
