OBJECTIVE

General:
  1. Develop research-oriented and capable faculty, staff, and students who engage on knowledge-seeking activities that will strengthen the capabilities of the school, enhance the core comptencies of the faculty, and enrich the substance of various program offerings for each application for the community and the society.
  2. To integrate research in academic and professional undertakings of the faculty, create an environment conducive to the conduct of scholarly reseacrh, and disseminate research-related information to internal and external users.
Specific:

  1. Generate quality researches (by faculty, non-faculty, and students)
  2. Disseminate research output
  3. Provide research-based information needed by the institution in decision making.
  4. Strengthen Academic-Industry Linkage

LCC's RESEARCHES FOR EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Academic Year 2006-2007 paved the way for the intellectual thesis works of the masteral students of this institution. Works of different subjects yet of equal significance found places in the thesis shelves.

Some topics focused on were student performances, teachers¡¦ competencies and application of different strategies and techniques to alleviate the teaching-learning process in different classroom situations.

Some of the works which tackle student performance were the Analysis of the Factors Affecting the Pupils Performance in Selected Oblate Schools of Saint Joseph in the Province of Batangas: It's Implication to Administration, Pupils Performance to HOTS Instruction and Rubrics Assessment Application, The Effectiveness of Citizenship Development Among Kindergarten Pupils in the Public Schools of Division of Lipa City: Implication to Parent Teacher Relationship, Assessment of Pupils' Performance in Solving Word Problems in Mathematics Among the Grade VI Pupils in The Division of Lipa City.

Moreover, works concerned with the teachers¡¦ competencies were ¡§Selected Personal Qualities and Professional Competencies of Teachers as Indicators of Instructional Enhancement in Elementary and Secondary and Secondary Schools in the Division of Lipa City¡¨; ¡§ Correlation of the Leadership Roles of School Heads and Commitment Manifested in Teaching in Terms of Performance Indicators¡¨ and "Teachers¡¦ Competencies in Computer Education in Public and Private Secondary Schools in the Division of Lipa City".

Furthermore, researchers also studied about the implications of the innovative teaching strategies specifically in the areas of English, Mathematics and Agriculture. All of these dealt with the instructional enhancement aiming to facilitate the teaching and learning process.

On the other hand, theses conducted by the faculty members of Lipa City Colleges were ¡§Conflict Handling Styles Utilized by the Department Heads of Lipa City Colleges towards an Effective Conflict Resolution¡¨; Level of Satisfaction of Lipa City Colleges Employee: A Basis for Enrichment of Human Resource Development Programs¡¨ and "An Evaluation of the Results of the Entrance Examinations and the Academic Performance of First Year Students of Lipa City Colleges: Its Implication to Instruction¡¨.

All these works from both the faculty members and the masteral students put into focus the performances and achievements of both the teachers and the students from different educational establishments. These theses then are all deemed significant in the development of the educational system as they all aim for the enhancement of the instructional practices and uplift the degree of learning among the students.
