Mr. and Ms. LCC 2007 Bared, Coronation Night Looms

Ian Atienza and Ma. Ailen Monteclaro, both from the College of Nursing, were declared as Mr. and Ms. LCC 2007, respectively, in the 3rd and final counting of the fund-raising activity held at the Quadrangle last October 18. The raffle draw in connection with the event and involving very handsome prizes was likewise held and this added fuel to the very exciting affair.


Overseen by Mr. Nilo Burgos and facilitated by selected faculty members appointed as members of the Board of Canvassers, the fund drive came to a wrap up with the following official results: Ian Atienza as Mr. LCC 2007 turned in a total of P226,050 while Ma. Ailen Monteclaro as Ms. LCC 2007 shelled P589, 450; 2nd placers are Tristan R. Japson (P54,050) and Rezelle I. Libuit (P560,800), both from the High School Department; 3rd placers are Chester L. Zaraspe (P52,740) of the College of Business Education and Accountancy and Rochelle R. Ching (P106,000) of the College of Education; 4th placers are Ramoncito T. Luancing (P51,280) of the College of Computer Studies and Princess Cyrine C. Maglinao (P65,320) of the College of Business Education and Acountancy; 5th placers are Jayson C. Paral (P46,150) and Gracielle Ann M. De Jesus (P64,150) both from the College of Criminology; 6th placers are Marco B. Gonzalvo (P38,990) of the College of Education and Carmela Marie K. Cueto (P43,820) of the College of Computer Studies; and occupying the last spot are Mark Louie C. Floresta (P35,840) and Angelica Magtibay (P39,360) both from the College of Hospitality Management. The total collection that amounted to P1, 974, 000.00 shall be used to finance the institution’s scholarship programs.


The winners of the raffle draw, on the other hand, are as follows: Lovely Briones, Laarni Bundalian, Henry Casanova, Rossini Tacson, Geline Seva, Albert Guerrero, Rhina Alcaraz, each winning a cell phone; Angelica De La Cruz winning the 3rd prize (25” JVC Musee’ colored TV), Maricel Aguilera capturing the 2nd prize (a personal desktop computer), and Julie Guanlao (49641) copping the 1st prize (ACER laptop). The Coronation Night, to be held on November 23, 2007 and which shall be graced by some of the topnotch celebrities in the country, shall serve as one of the highlights of the school’s 60th Foundation Celebration.
