LCC Family Celebrates A Joyful and Meaningful Christmas ‘08
Joining the Christian community in its observance of the Christmas Season, Lipa City Colleges spearheaded three activities on Dec 19, each aimed in putting into each one’s hearts the reason for the celebration – selfless giving and sharing.
Kicking the day off is an Outreach Program spearheaded by the Human Resources Development Office (HRDO) and the Office of the Director for Alumni and Community Affairs. Identified via a survey, 40 families from received Noche Buena baskets handed over by the Academic Council Members and Social Orientation and Community Extension Program (SOCEP) Representatives.
At 1 pm, the Lipa City Colleges Multi-purpose Cooperative, Inc. (LICCEMCO) sponsored a Bingo Social at the Quadrangle. Owners of winning bingo cards per game were given cash prize, with the following members emerging as big winners: Teofilo A. Magana Jr (Director for Student Afairs) – P3,000; Analy Cuenca (Guidance Secretary) – P5,000; and Liezel Mantuano (Clinical Instructor) – P7,000.
Capping the day was the Institutional Christmas Party held at the Gymnasium. The Program consisted of presentations per Department, fun games, raffle, and the traditional giving of gifts by the Administration. The Board of Trustees headed by President, Carlos Mojares, graced the affair and the Vice President for Administration and Corporate Affairs Joe Vincent j. Abiera delivered his Christmas Message, imparting to the academic community his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s continued dedication and promise for greater and better plans for the school.
