LCC Holds 62nd Commencement Ceremonies. Senator Bong Revilla Jr. Awards Scholarship Grants

March 29, 2009 came to pass as another important leaf in the history of Lipa City Colleges when it held its 62nd Graduation Activities in its Gymnasium.


The High School Department turned in 149 graduates in a ceremony held from 10a to 12n. Mr. Carlito Rocafort, Assistant Division Superintendent, Division of Lipa, acted as Guest Speaker. In his address to the graduates, Mr. Rocafort shared his personal experiences and emphasized the importance of perseverance and extolled on the values of humility and respect in achieving one’s goals.


The Graduation Program for the two year courses started at 1 pm and had Honorable Senator Ramon “Bong” Revillla, Jr. addressing the occasion. Apart from his stirring address that was well received by 359 graduates , their parents, and the rest of the audience, the Senator also awarded 20 Scholarship Slots to incoming college students under his Knowledge Assistance Program (KAP).

Capping off the day’s activities was the graduate course’s and four year degree programs’ Commencement Rites. The Keynote Guest, Honorable Senator Allan Peter Cayetano, encouraged the graduates to stay positive despite the current economic situation and assured them that the education that they have acquired puts them in a better position to be successful in the career path that they would be taking. 660 were conferred their degrees on this occasion.


The Board of Trustees, headed by President Carlos R. Mojares; the Academic Council; and Faculty and Staff are in full attendance during all three events.
