LCC Steps Up Its Health Security Measures

With the incidence of the pandemic AHINI flu continuing to increase at an alarming rate, LCC took steps in ensuring the health status of the community. Since its opening of classes last June 15, it has been enforcing a thermal scanning of everyone entering the school premises to monitor and address effectively possible cases. The Institutional Clinic also launched a massive information drive regarding the disease via the posting of tarpaulins, distribution of flyers, and holding of orientation, all of which focusing on the important data about the disease especially on how infection and transmission may be prevented and what should be done in case one becomes suspect to being infected. LCC also acknowledges that apart from AHINI, Dengue fever likewise poses a serious health risk so that facts and what-to-do’s concerning this disease were likewise presented as part of the information drive. Lastly, the faculty and staff were enjoined to constantly remind the students of the importance of proper hygiene, nutritionally balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle for an immune system boost that would effectively prevent the contraction of any diseases. As of press time, no case of both AHINI and Dengue has been reported.
