History of LCC

What humbly started as the Lipa Business Institute in 1947 has grown into what is now the Lipa City Colleges (LCC) � a premier provider of higher education in the CALABARZON region. Its history is very much tied up to the history of Lipa City itself- LCC has always served as one of the impetuses that Lipa needs for it to be ever progressive in the same manner that the city has been LCC�s motivation in improving the quality and impact of the services that it offers. Through the years, a number of the movers and shakers in our beloved city and in even in the entire region, both as private individuals and as government servants, have actually honed their sense of leadership and social responsibility in the halls of this institution, making them effective leaders of our beloved city.

Today, as LCC celebrates its 65 years of unwavering commitment to quality education for the Lipe�os and the youth of the region, it has asserted itself mores strongly by offering the most relevant degree and non-degree programs. The last decade has been particularly fruitful for the institution as it sees all of its course offerings gaining further prestige through Accreditation and by being cited as a Top Performing School in terms of its performance in Licensure Exams in Criminology, Accountancy, Education, and Nursing. Firmly believing that quality education should always be accessible to all especially the financially disadvantaged youths, LCC has also always been in the forefront as provider of scholarship grants and community extension programs.

And as it further keeps up with the City of Lipa�s need for holistically developed individuals, LCC, starting this school year, has opened up Silvercrest � its Primary and Elementary School. Built on the same foundations and principles as its High School and College departments have been, LCC Silvercrest boasts of a physical environment that is secured and highly conducive for work and play, a team of qualified and dedicated teachers, and an innovative curriculum that promotes the advancement of the mental, psychomotor, and social skills of its pupils. This newest addition to the LCC system is the realization of the institution�s vision of a providing a complete and holistic education that forms individuals with the highest ideals of leadership, competence, and commitment, so that as they may contribute to our beloved city�s continued economic growth and social development.
