The much anticipated LCC�s Annual Employees� Sports Fest is now on its 3rd season. Aimed at furthering the camaraderie between and among the co-workers of the institution as well as enhancing their physical well-being, the event consisting of basketball for men and volleyball for women, had its opening ceremonies last July 25, 5 pm, at the Gymnasium. Emceed by Ms. Tet Carandang of the College of Education, the event consisted of the entrance of the 7 participating teams (black, blue, gray, green, orange, red, and yellow), the presentation of the members of each team by Student Affairs Director Jun M. Magana, Jr., an intermission number by selected members of the High School Faculty, and a cheer dance by the student assistants. Highlighting the event were the torch lighting by Rodel Nu�ez, maintenance personnel, oath of amateurism led by last year�s Volleyball MVP and PE Instructor Edna Bulaklak, the declaration of the opening of games by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Diosdada Boiser and the tossing of the ceremonial ball by School President Carlos Mojares. Vice President for Administrative and Corporate Affairs Joe Vincent Abiera also delivered his message for the occasion. The games are scheduled weekly and are expected to wrap up by December.
